PRINCE2® Exam Pattern Changes 2022
Effective year 2022, February; PeopleCert have announced major changes in its Axelos examinations like ITIL, Prince2 etc. As of February, all Axelos examinations will be proctored and the mode of delivery will be Online only.
The rationale behind this change against the earlier Open Book exam is to give paramount importance to the exam integrity and to enhance the value of AXELOS credentials. PeopleCert is making its Online Proctoring as the sole exam delivery method across the entire Business & IT portfolio.
This comes with another announcement that each learner will be provided an official e-book (Managing Successful Projects with PRINCE2® 2017 Edition) alongside the exam voucher. Learners will be able to access their Digital Book through their PeopleCert account upon entering their voucher code. They will also be able to make annotations and access their Digital Book offline through the Bookshelf app that they can download anytime. There is a small limitation to this as the book is available mainly in English and a select few languages. Work is going on to make this more localized by offering the book in local languages as well.
So, the question is -what has changed between the new and the old pattern. Well, let’s have a look at the comparison tables.

Conclusion:
There have been few changes in the way exam was conducted earlier. Except for those changes, other parts of the exam pattern have remained untouched. While these changes may initially appear a slight inconvenience in various segments of the Business, this change is going to boost the exam integrity and bring forward a fully secure and protected online exam process, through which candidates will be offered with a certification of great validity and gravitas.
